Marissa & Jay do Bricktown

I've been wanting to do some portraits of Jay, my fiance, for quite a while now. We finally had the opportunity when we headed up to Bricktown for an evening out a few weeks ago (I think Jay also lost a bet...or something along that line). When we met 5 years ago, Jay was pathologically afraid of having his photo taken--I think he's come a long way!

We weren't serious the entire time...

My personal favorite

Jay's personal favorite

Part of the deal was handing over my camera to Jay so he could try out his hand at portrait photography--I believe he was telling me how much talent he has when he took the portrait below...(can you tell!)

As it turns out, Jay isn't half bad. A little cropping and editing resulted in this picture of me below--maybe I wont have to disappear behind the camera for the rest of my life?

Alice

I took Alice's portraits in downtown OKC at the Myriad Botanical Gardens & Bricktown--we had a great time finding unique places, which wasn't hard to do in that area! Alice is a natural at posing--here are some of the shots from that afternoon.

Jaclyn & John

Usually when I do a photo session, after 2 hours my subject(s) is worn out--Jaclyn & John were the first couple that have been able to do that to me! I had so much fun photographing them around the campus--they were willing to do anything (or climb on anything) to get a great shot! I thought it was fitting that such a playful couple is having their wedding in...can you guess?

Here is a hint:

Yup--Disney World! As a former Disney fanatic, I'm a little jealous...

Here are a few of my favorites from our romp around Norman:

I think this is my favorite--poor John wasn't happy about the pond water.

I have to give John credit for suggesting we take a few pictures here--they turned out incredible.

That is the moon in the upper left of this photo! (Told you we were out late!)

Zuzana & Orville

I took Zuzana & Orville's engagement photos one VERY windy Saturday in Oklahoma (is there any other kind?) Luckily, they were good sports, and in a few situations, the wind actually worked to our advantage! It's easy to see how much they care about each other in so many of the photos--here are a few of my favorites from the day.

Jennifer & Spencer's Wedding

I had the honor of photographing Jennifer & Spencer's wedding in Norman--even though there was a threat of 6 inches of snow, the day was perfect! Thank you for letting me be a part of your beautiful, and meaningful ceremony, Jennifer & Spencer.

Below is a slideshow of some of the pictures from the event.
(You may wish to disable the blog's music player, at the bottom of the page)

Jennifer was smart and took a break before the ceremony!
